Gluteus Maximus Located In The Back Of Hip. IT is Known As Buttocks. IT IS One Of The Three Gluteus Muscle,

2)MAXIMUS 

3)MINIMUS

             GLUTEUS  FUNCTION 


The Primary Function Of Your Gluteus Maximus Are Hip External Rotation, And Hip Extention. 
You Use It When You 

1)Standup From A Sitting Postition

2)Climbs Stair

3)Hold Yourself In A Standing Position

As A Human You Have More Than 600 Muscle In Your Body One Of These The  Largest Muscle Is Gluteus Maximus

 
Gluteus Maximus Is Located In The Buttocks And Regarded As One Of The Connected  To The COCCYX, Or TALLBONE As Well As Other Surrounding Bones.
The Gluteus Maximus Muscle Is Responsible For Movement Of Hip And Thigh, Standing up From  A Sitting Position, Climbing Stairs And Staying In An Erect Position Are All Added By The Gluteus Maximus.

             Causes Of gluteus Maximus 


Pain While  Rising To A Standing  Position Or Lowering To Sit May Be Caused  By Gluteus Maximus  Syndrome.
This Syndrome Is Caused  by A Spasm In The Muscle Of Gluteus Maximus, The Pain Usually Disappear When Sitting Affects Only One Side Of The Body. Other Causes Of Pain Can Be a Caused By  Inflammation Of The Tandons Or Friction Between The Bone.
   

               Treatment  

These Disorders Include Physical Therapy Or Anti-inflammatory pills Or Injection. 
Physical Therapist May Try To Put Pressure On The Joint Of The Gluteus  Maximus Muscles And Coccyx Or Rcommand Exercise To Reduce Pain  And Improve Range Of Motion.
